This shot was filmed early in the morning to capture the beautiful light. Unfortunately, too many white delivery trucks were present, and the director didn’t like it.
The task was to replace the vehicles and change the timing. The plan was to have the area empty at first, then build up the traffic. We also added a few more contemporary elements, such as cranes, a balloon, and a plane in the background.
The Gaussian splat of the environment is used to hold out the car behind the trees and the building. For the final shot, we switch to a conventional masking methodology.
